Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu is currently basking in the glory of his last release ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’. Mahesh Babu, who has a huge fan following is also one of the popular South stars with maximum hit flicks in his kitty.

Mahesh Babu had won the State Nandi Award for best male debut with his first film Rajakumarudu (1999) since then he has not only added a number of prestigious awards but also won over the hearts of his fans with his acting chops and good looks. However, the Maharshi actor has also not been able to be a part of some of the best movies due to various reasons. If Mahesh Babu had done these films, then he would have added some more to his list of hit flicks.

List of movies that Mahesh Babu Rejected:

1 Ye Maaya Chesave:

The lead for the Telugu part of Samantha Akkineni starrer ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ went to Mahesh first. But the actor could not do the film. Naga Chaitanya was taken on board for the same. It was one of Naga’s best performance.

2. Kaththi:

The remake of Kaththi was first offered to Mahesh Babu. However, Mahesh Babu politely refused the offer simply stating that he doesn’t work in remakes.

3. Rudramadevi:

The Gona Ganna Reddy was initially supposed to be played by the Spyder actor. However, he let this go of this film due to reasons best known to him. The role went on to stylish star Allu Arjun who did a fantastic job in Telangana’s historical Drama film, Rudrama Devi.

4. Manasantha Nuvve:

The superstar said no to this film very early on in his career. The makers went on to do the film with Uday Kiran and this love story became such a massive hit that it was remade several times in the coming year

5. Varsham:

Varsham is an action romance based movie, In which Venkat (Prabhas) and Sailaja (Trisha) are youngsters at Warangal who fall in love. It was offered to Mahesh Babu first.

6. 24:

The movie emerged as one of Suriya’s biggest hits. The project was first read out to Mahesh Babu. But he didn’t agree to do the movie.

7. A Aa:

The Samantha Akkineni and Nithiin starrer was earlier offered to Mahesh Babu. Unfortunately, he could not do the film so it went to Nithiin and emerged as a turning point in his career. The classy entertainer went on to become a critical and commercial success.
