Thalaivi: Kangana Ranaut’s new still out on Jayalalithaa’s birth anniversary

Queen actress Kangana Ranaut has been raising the anticipation around her Jayalalithaa biopic Thalaivi with each passing day. Now on the legendary actress and politician’s birth anniversary on February 24, a new look of the actress is out. In the picture, we see Kangana in a younger version of the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. The picture soon set social media on fire. was revealed on social media.

In the new image, Kangana is seen wearing a simple white saree with a black and red border. She has tied her hair in a neat low bun. Sports a bindi on her forehead she is seen smiling for the camera. The new image sees Kangana as a 30-something Jayalalithaa as she forays into politics.

From the above picture we can easily see how alike Kangana is looking to the iconic celebrity. She has been working quite hard to give a realistic touch. Kangana has been learning Tamil and Bharat Natyam and has also put on oodles of weight. She is also reported to have spent hours on prosthetic makeup sessions.

Thalaivi is a biopic of Jayalalithaa, who was a film star and renowned dancer before she into forayed politics. She soon went onto becoming Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Thalaivi will release in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu. It is being directed by AL Vijay and will hit the theatres on June 26.
