Actor Shahid Kapoor begins shooting for the film Jersey in Chandigarh
Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has begin shooting for the film Jersey in Chandigarh. The team of upcoming sports-flick film Jersey featuring actors like Shahid Kapoor, Pankaj Kapur as well as Mrunal Thakur, have already begun the shooting of the film in Chandigarh.
Shahid Kapoor took to Instagram to share the update with his fans of the film. He wrote, “It’s never too late to chase your dream. #Jersey… The journey begins. @GowtamNaidu @MrunalOfficial2016 @ItsAlluAravind @AmanTheGill @SriVenkateshwaraCreations.” Check out the picture below.
For the unversed, the film Jersey is also a Hindi-remake of a Telugu film which is of the same name helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Not only that, it was the Telugu version that had received a somewhat overwhelming response from the audience as well as critics alike.
Meanwhile, the lead actor Shahid Kapoor of the film shared this exciting news to his fans on his Instagram account. In the picture we can see the clapperboard with the name written of the film across it. Interestingly, after Vikas Bahl’s film Shaandaar, now the sports drama film will witness father Pankaj Kapur as well as son Shahid Kapoor sharing the screen space together once again. Shahid Kapoor would be playing the role of a cricketer. Moreover, the veteran actor Kapur will be reportedly playing his mentor in the film as well.
The story line of the film Jersey is that it centers around a father named Arjun (Nani) who is a talented but sorrowfully a failed cricketer. However, he decides to return to cricket in his late thirties as his desire to represent the Indian Cricket team arises and also to fulfill his son’s wish of an Indian jersey as a gift.
