Deepika Padukone to play lead role in Karan Johar's upcoming film?
Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone, who has several Hindi movies in her kitty, seems to have bagged yet another Hindi film with none other than ace filmmaker Karan Johar. Deepika Padukone is undeniably one of the popular and busiest Bollywood actress.

According to a report in IWMBuzz, Deepika Padukone has been eagerly waiting to reunite with Karan Johar and she has finally found the right scripts now. For the unversed, Deepika and Karan had previously collaborated in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, which did well at the box office collection.
The report stated that Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film to be produced by Karan Johar and directed by Shakun Batra, who had earlier directed Kapoor & Sons for Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Meanwhile, Deepika is currently busy with Kabir Khan’s sports drama titled ’83’, which is based on the 1983’s India’s win in cricket World Cup. The lead role in 83 is being played none other than her husband, Ranveer Singh. In the film, Deepika will essay the role of his wife Romi Dev. The actress is also said to be a co-producer of the film.
The complete details of the Deepika and Karan’s collaboration are yet to be known. The film is reportedly based on a heroinic-centric subject with Deepika playing a character that has not been attempted before in our cinema.
The Gully Boy actor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, is also likely to be in this Deepika starrer which goes on the floors in mid-2020.
