The Game Awards 2019: Complete List of Nominees
Death Stranding was nominated for nine categories while Control garnered eight nominations
The Game Awards nominees for 2019 have been announced by Geoff Keighley. These awards are often hailed as the Oscars of the gaming industry. The Game Awards were started in 2014 and have gone on to command a viewership of 30 million. The event was streamed on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Mixer and Twitch last year. The Awards will have more than 60 global media platforms this year.
This year Death Stranding had the highest number of nominations. It was nominated for nine categories which included Game of the Year, Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best Score.
