Jersey Remake: Shahid Kapoor preps for his role of a cricketer

After the super success of ‘Kabir Singh’, superstar Shahid Kapoor is back once again. The talented star will be seen in the remake of hit South flick ‘Jersey’ and has also started prepping for it too. Speculations have been rife that Shahid has bagged the Jersey remake and it is now confirmed that Shahid Kapoor is indeed part of Jersey, which originally starred Nani in the lead role.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and shared the first look of Shahid Kapoor.

In the picture we see Shahid Kapoor dressed in a white jersey, holding the bat to his shoulder while a headband is tied over his hair. The actor is also sporting a stubble that gives an edge to his look.
As reported by a source to Bollywood Hungama, “Shahid plays a cricketer in Jersey and the perfectionist he is, he has already started learning the ropes of playing a cricketer on-screen by regularly going for the cricket sessions. The film’s shoot starts in Chandigarh November end.”
The Jersey remake is helmed by Gowtham Tinnanuri who had directed the South version. It is co-produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, and Dil Raju. The yet-untitled remake of Nani’s Jersey is slated for the 28th August 2020 release.
