The developer console allows a player to input certain commands. These console commands may serve various purposes like changing the color and size of a crosshair, the amount of FPS the PC can play out or altering the appearance of the minimap. It can be used to optimize your computer to have an optimal gaming experience or to disconnect quickly.
The console has a varied list of possibilities that activating it brings to life.
Here’s how to activate and open console on CS:GO
If you want to know how to open console commands on Counter Strike: Global Offensive, you will have to follow some steps.
- Start CS:GO and click the Options in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select Game Settings.
- Choose Enable Developer Console and set it to “Yes”
- Click “Apply”
The default binding for the console is tilde key (~). If a player wishes to change this to something else, here is how to do that.
- Select “Keyboard and Mouse” settings.
- Scroll down to the “Toggle Console” option
- Click the right-hand box to choose your binding
- Click “Apply” before closing the options screen and heading back to the main menu.
Once back at the main screen, players should be able to open the console with set keys. The console can also be opened in game.
