Dev Anand 97th birth anniversary: Rishi Kapoor pays tribute to legendary actor
Today is the birthday of Dev Anand and actor Rishi Kapoor turned to twitter to wish him.
Everyone remembers the evergreen actor Dev Anand till today. He stole millions of people’s hearts at one time with his acting. He was a heartthrob for many young girls. His charisma was at one time so hypnotizing that he was asked not to wear black coat as girls jumped from the roof seeing him dressed in that attire.
The actor was so handsome that his looks were once compared to the famous Hollywood star Gregory Pack. Remembering him on his birthday Actor Rishi Kapoor paid tribute to the legend on twitter. Also, he wrote his messages and best wishes for Dev Sahib on his 97th birthday.

Dev Anand was born on 26th September, 1923. His native town was Shakargarh tehsil a Gurdaspur district back in British India (now in Pakistan). Before venturing into films, he completed his BA in English Literature. In the year of 1945, he arrived in Mumbai and did his first film one year later in ‘Hum Ek Hain’. Since then onward, his acting career started.
He got his big break in the film Ziddi . The film was commercially successful. Another movie Baazi was a big hit at the box office. Some of his noteworthy films are Guide, Johny Mer Naam, Kala Pani, Taxi Driver, Milap, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Jewel Thief. The romantic hero image title he received was from the films he had done which were Tere Ghar Ke Samne, Asli-Naqli, Manzil.
