Howdy Modi Event: PM Modi leaves his mark at global stage once again
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses 50. 000 Indian Americans at the Howdy Modi event in Houston
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is at present in Houston for the Howdy Modi event. He addressed close to 50,000 Indian-Americans at the event sprawling NRG Football Stadium in Houston. He was joined by US President Donald Trump aho also addressed the Indian diaspora. It was the largest gathering ever for an elected foreign leader visiting the United States.

The PM addressed a number of things at the event and left his mark once again at the global stage. The PM initiated the event with, “Abki Baar, Trump Sarkar” that was applauded by the audience there. PM Modi also spoke about the relationship between the US and India and Article 370. Making a strong pitch against terrorism at the ‘Howdy, Modi’ event, Modi also took veiled jibes at Pakistan over their role in terrorism.
He said, “Time has come for a decisive battle against terrorism and against those who promote terror. I want to stress on the fact that in this fight, President Trump is standing firmly.”

United States President Donald Trump, in his address too, vowed to protect innocent civilians from the threat of radical Islamist terrorism and said border security is vital to both America and India. He further emphasised on bolstering further the India-US security relationship. Trump said the two countries will soon sign several defence deals to bolster their relationship.
In his 50 minute speech, the PM opened up on all of India’s strengths. Ne its diaspora, diversity, democracy, economy, and the process of modernisation underway in Indian society. He was truly in his elements and soon had the audience hooked.
Narendra Modi and Donald Trump will also be meeting this Tuesday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Trump will also be meeting Pakistan leader Imran Khan who recently solicited his help mediating Pakistan India conflict over Kashmir.
