PV Sindhu Keen on watching Deepika Padukone playing her in biopic

Indian ace shuttler PV Sindhu — who recently made the country proud by winning Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Championships — has talked about her biopic. The popular Badminton player, who is currently working hard to get a gold medal at the Olympic 2020 is keen on seeing Deepika Padukone playing her role on the silver screen.

For the unversed, Deepika Padukone, who is a daughter of international badminton player Prakash Padukone, is said to be a badminton player too. Notably, Sindhu’s interest in watching Deepika Padukone essaying her on the big screen comes after Sonu Sood got the rights to make a movie on PV Sindhu. Speaking about the same, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Sindhu confessed that she would love to watch Deepika playing her in a movie. 

“Yes, he told me. But I could only speak to him for a few minutes,” she said, referring to Sood begging the rights to making her biopic. “Would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then, the makers would take the final decision,” she said.

“I could not hold back my emotions when I saw the National flag flying high and heard the National anthem,” Sindhu said, adding, “There’s nothing like making the country proud. That my achievement could give hope and inspiration to many is a wonderful feeling. Hard work is the key to success. Also the support of our parents is also important. One should enjoy the sport; it should not be a compulsion,” Sindhu further added.

“In life, you always win some and lose some. When you lose, you don’t let that defeat bog you down but you work on yourself and come back stronger. Every time I lose a match, I analyse what went wrong and work on that area. But things are different when you succeed. This win has given me a lot of confidence. It was overwhelming to receive so many messages from people… I want to continue making everyone proud,” Sindhu concluded.
