Pro Kabaddi 2019: Virat Kohli would pick THESE Indian Cricketers for his Kabaddi team

Indian Skipper Virat Kohli — who has recently inaugurated Pro Kabaddi League 2019 — has revealed the names of Indian cricket team players he would pick for his Kabaddi team. At Pro Kabaddi League 2019 launch event, Virat Kohli expressed his bond with Kabaddi and said that he used to play it in his childhood.

When Virat Kohli was asked which Indian cricket player he would choose for his own Kabaddi team, without any hesitation, Virat named MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul. Notably, Virat Kohli himself excluded from the Kabaddi team. He said that Kabaddi Players need a lot of strength and athleticism.

Speaking about his favourite Kabaddi players, Virat Kohli told Star Sports, his favourite Kabaddi players is Rahul Chaudhri and said that the camaraderie between Chaudhri and Ajay Thakur for Team India and Tamil Thalaivas reminds him of himself and MS Dhoni.

Notably, Rahul Chaudhri has already kicked-off Pro Kabaddi Season 7, with his new team named Tamil Thalaivas.

“I have always been impressed with Rahul Chaudhari the most. I think he’s got the personality and the game and the belief to be a top player. He has shown consistency over the years. Rahul is my favourite,” Kohli told Star Sports.

“It requires a lot of strength and athleticism. So I would say, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav. Umesh is really strong. Rishabh Pant as well. I would say Bumrah because he can really work on a toe-touch. One more… I am not even going to include myself because these guys are stronger and more athletic. The last one would be KL Rahul. That’s my seven,” Virat Kohli told Star Sports.

“seeing how players from all over the globe come to India to be a part of the PKL shows that the level of the sport has been escalated exponentially. The reason kabaddi has become a world recognised sport is due to the fitness and determination of Indian kabaddi players,” Virat Kohli added.
