First look: Vicky Kaushal as Sam Manekshaw in Meghna Gulzar’s film

Versatile actor Vicky Kaushal won hearts as the affable Kamli in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’. He roused patriotism in his high on josh avatar in ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. Now the actor has bagged a film on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. He will be reuniting with his ‘Raazi’ director Meghna Gulzar for a movie that is based on legendary Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw.

Today, on the 11th death anniversary of Sam Manekshaw,  Meghna has made the official announcement. Both Meghna and Vicky shared the first look of the actor from the film. It will leave you awestruck instantly as Kaushal has nailed the perfect look as Manekshaw.

Meghna Gulzar, who has wrapped up the shooting of ‘Chhapaak’ with Deepika Padukone, told Mumbai Mirror that it was during the shooting of ‘Raazi’ that she shared the story of Sam Manekshaw with Vicky Kaushal.

She further added that the film will go on floor in 2021 as they have to make a lot of preparations.

On the work front, Vicky Kaushal is busy with the shoot of Uddham Singh. He will also be seen in Karan Johar’s period drama ‘Takht’.
