Navy Day: T-Series announces a war film on India’s biggest naval operation
T-Series, Ellipsis Entertainment, and Asylum Films have come together to produce a war movie.
Producers Bhushan Kumar, Atul Kasbekar, Tanuj Garg, and Swati Iyer Chawla have come together to make a war film titled as Navy Day which is based on an attack launched on Karachi harbour during the India Pakistan war in 1971. It will be helmed by Razneesh Ghai and shooting will start by next year. T-Series head honcho, Bhushan Kumar took to his Twitter handle to announce the news.
Taking to his Twitter handle he wrote, “Extremely delighted to announce “Navy Day”, our next venture celebrating the Greatest Naval Operation by the @indiannavy – the bombing of Karachi Harbour in 1971.
Helmed by Razneesh Ghai.”

India was successful at the operation and every year India celebrates Navy Day on December 4.
While talking about the project, Bhushan Kumar said in a statement, “The operation was one of the most successful in modern naval history after World War II. Our navy suffered no losses and caused heavy casualties on the enemy side. T-Series and Ellipsis look forward to bringing to life this extraordinary tale of strategy, thrill and bravery.”
