Batwoman trailer: CW shares the first trailer of Ruby Rose as a lesbian caped crusader

CW has finally unveiled the first trailer of their upcoming superhero series ‘Batwoman’ starring Ruby Rose. It comes with a twist as the series has Ruby depicting the role of a lesbian superhero. The international channel has described the leading lady as an “an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.” It is a modern perspective on the popular super-hero story.

In the three minutes long trailer, we can see Kate Kane(Ruby Rose) she is Bruce Wayne’s cousin. Bruce Wayne, who happens to be missing causes a rise in the crime wave in Gotham City. Kate is sent away by her father Jacob Kane for her safety. Kate returns home to find that her girlfriend, Crow security officer Sophie Moore, has been captured by a gang. She soon dons the mantle of the caped crusader that is left behind by her cousin and uses everything in her power to combat the dark machinations of the psychotic Alice (Rachel Skarsten).

‘Batwoman’ also stars Meagan Tandy, who plays Kate’s girlfriend. The show also sees Camrus Johnson, Dougray Scott, Elizabeth Anweis, Nicole Kang, Mary Hamilton and Rachel Skarsten. ‘Batwoman’ will air new episodes on Sundays at 8 PM on the CW.’
