‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ has been in news since long now. The movie that features South superstar Chiranjeevi in is based on the life of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. he had revolted against the atrocities of East India Company 10 years before the Sepoy Mutiny.

Today the makers of Chiranjeevi-starrer, have managed to get Anushka Shetty on board to play a brief yet crucial role in the film. The Baahubali star has joined the team in Hyderabad.
As per Indian Express reports, Anushka Shetty had given a look test on Monday and two days later joined Chiranjeevi and team for the film’s shoot in Hyderabad. The 37-year-old actor will be seen in the narrator’s role which introduces the character of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. She will also appear before the fiery interval episode.
The report further adds, “After the RFC schedule, we will be shooting for a week at Vikarabad forests, followed by a song shoot involving Chiru and Nayanthara in a special set at Annapurna 7 acres. With this, the film will be wrapped up.”
The film was recently in news, as a fire had broken out at Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi’s house on the outskirts of Hyderabad recently, damaging part of a film set.
Directed by Surender Reddy, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is slated for release during Dasara. The movie also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Sudeep, Jagapathi Babu and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles.
