Yes, there was buzz that the runtimes of episodes in season 8 will have feature-length, unlike its earlier seasons. But, if we look at the official length, the first two episodes of Game of Thrones 8 have shorter runtime than usual. However, the remaining four episodes will have feature-length. Their runtime will be ranging from one hour 18 minutes to one hour 22 minutes.

According to reports, the last season of GoT is likely to be a war between the living — the Westerosi led by Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and others — against the Night King, his White Walker lieutenants and their army of ice-zombies called wights.
