1. Alia Bhatt is a daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan. She has an elder sister, Shaheen and two half-siblings named Pooja Bhatt and Rahul Bhatt. Mukesh Bhatt is her uncle. Director Mohit Suri and Actor Emraan Hashmi are her paternal cousins.
2. Alia first appeared on screen as a child artist in ‘Sangharsh’ (1999). She played a role of junior Preety Zinta.
3. Alia was selected out of 400 girls who tried for Karan Johar’s film ‘Student of the Year’. She had to lose her weight to act in ‘Student of the Year’ and at that time she was only 17.
