Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reveals how Abhishek proposed her

Back in 2007, fans were pleasantly surprised when they learned that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was getting married to Abhishek Bachchan. It has been over 11 years the duo got married but many of us don’t know how they came together.

Love is a beautiful feeling, however, the love story of Abhishek and Aishwarya is not known by many. It is to be noted that before the release of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Guru’, Abhishek Bachchan proposed Aishwarya. And rest they say is history.

In a recent interview with Filmfare, Aishwarya talked about how Abhishek Bachchan proposed to her right before the release of their superhit film Guru (2007).

The gorgeous diva said, “Of course’, I remember. During ‘Khwaja Mere Khwaja’, sitting as a bride, and I am like, omg this is surreal, all happening on-screen, off-screen, this is bizarre and Ashutosh is like you are engaged and I am like what.”

Abhishek and Aishwarya tied the knot in 2007 and will be celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary on April 20, 2019. The couple has a beautiful daughter Aaradhya.

On the work front, Aishwarya was last seen in Atul Manjrekar’s ‘Fanney Khan’ opposite Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. The film received not so favourable response at the box office. She will be seen in the film titled ‘Gulab Jamun’ opposite Abhishek Bachchan.
