Australia vs India: Records await Virat and Co in Perth Test
Indian captain Virat Kohli is on the verge of breaking another record as he leads his side to the second Test match against Australia in Perth on Friday.
India had a piece of history in Adelaide where they won the first Test by 31 runs–which was their first Test victory in Australia in a decade. It was also India’s fifth win in Tests outside the Asian subcontinent under Kohli’s captaincy.
India would pocket their sixth win outside Asia if they manage to repeat their heroics from the last match which would enable Kohli to hold the record for most Test wins outside Asia for an Indian captain–toppling the great Sourav Ganguly who led the country to five Test wins outside Asia.

A victory in Perth would also make India the fifth team in the history of Test cricket to complete 150 wins. The other teams who have managed to pull off this feat are- Australia (384), England (364), West Indies (171), and South Africa (161).
On a personal front, a hundred for Kohli would help him move up to the third spot in the list of most number of international hundreds across all formats.
Kohli, if he scores a hundred, would achieve his 25th Test ton and would join Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara in the third spot in list of all-time highest century scorers.
