Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab has revealed the top cricketers they will be bidding for at the upcoming auctions on December 18. In an article from the franchise itself, which was also later tweeted by their official Twitter handle, the 2014 IPL finalists gave out the names of few international and domestic stars they would love to buy.

The top player in the list is former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, who was released by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Punjab already has former Kiwi coach Mike Hesson, under whom McCullum led New Zealand to the 2015 World Cup finals.
Second in the list is Windies youngster Shimron Hetmyer, who made his name in the ODI series against India, where he smashed a breathtaking century and also played some vital knocks.

Kings XI’s list also has players such as Jaydev Unadkat, who attracted the highest bid for Indian players last auction and was sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 11.5 crore. Axer Patel, a former Kings player, was released earlier but the list suggests that they might want him back to join the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Mujeeb-ur Rahman.
Former players such as Wriddhiman Saha and Mandeep Singh are also in the Kings’ wishlist along with young players like Harsh Tyagi, Tanmay Mishra, Anmolpreet Singh and Diwesh Pathania.
The IPL auctions will go underway in Jaipur on December 18 and will be a one-day affair. As many as 70 players will go under the hammer next week with 50 of them being Indian players.
Parts of the IPL is also speculated to be held outside Indian keeping in mind the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
