Robert De Niro and wife Grace Hightower split after 20 years of marriage

After being married for two decades, Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower have decided to part ways, according a report by People magazine.

If sources are to believed, “Sometimes things don’t work out the way you hope or want them to.”

The couple, Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower, married in 1997 and together have two children, Elliott, 20, and 6-year-old, Helen Grace.

Apparently, the isn’t the first time the couple have hit a bump in their marriage. Earlier too, Robert De Niro had filed for divorce in 1999, but the two reconciled and later renewed their vows in 2004.

The estranged couple was last spotted attending the Tony Awards together in June.

Previously, De Niro was married to Diahnne Abbott from 1976 to 1988. Again, together they have two children, Drena, 47, and Raphael, 42.

In 1995, the legendary actor went on to have two more children, twin sons, Aaron and Julian, this time with his girlfriend, Touki Smith.
