Subramanian Swamy: If Hindus unite, nobody can stop Ram temple construction
The Bharatiya Janata Party has been advocating for Ram Mandir since 1992. With Supreme Court announcing to hear the matter in January in 2019, senior leader Subramanian Swamy opines that if the Hindus unite then no one could stop the construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Expressing his opinion at the conference at the BHU’s Swatantrata Bhavan — organised in the memory of former Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Ashok Singhal — Swamy stated that it was the fundamental right of Hindus to offer prayers at the birthplace of Ram. He further added that even the apex court would agree with the same.
Advocating that Hindu sentiments are attached with the place where Lord Ram was born, the senior BJP leader said that those sentiments must be respected and temple must be built. He even said that Mulsims can offer prayers at any other place.
Adding further, Swamy said that efforts should be made to declare “Ram Setu” as a national heritage and appeal to the Hindus to unite for construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.
On the occasion, Vishwa Hindu Parishad president Champat appealed Hindus to unite for construction of Ram temple, as it is matter of prestige for the Hindu community.
