Amitabh Bachchan resigned from politics after his name got embroiled in the infamous Bofors Scandal, the actor then returned to films. He was eventually acquited from the scam. Amitabh’s wife, Jaya Bachchan, a parliamentarian, had once cited that Amitabh exited early from the politics of India because he couldn’t handle it, being a sensitive person.
