Watch: Fan jumps barriers to kiss Rohit Sharma during Vijay Hazare quarterfinal; wife Ritika reacts
India opener Rohit Sharma found himself in the middle of a hilarious incident during Mumbai’s quarter-final match against Bihar at Bengaluru in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Rohit, who captained Mumbai in their match against Bihar, was batting when a fan jumped the fence and entered the field of play. He ran into the pitch and touched Rohit’s feet before hugging and kissing him as well.

The invader then left the field dancing and jumping and returned to the stands. He is also said to have watched the entire match without any intervention from the police. A KSCA official was later quoted by ESPN Cricinfo saying that five police officials were present at the venue but were deployed behind the fans and therefore the incident went unnoticed to them.
But while the aforementioned incident left many questioning the safety of the players, especially an international player, Rohit wife Ritika Sajdeh took it lightly.

Posting a newspaper clipping of the same incident on her Instagram story, Ritika tagged fellow cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and wrote, “You and I both have competitions.”
The leg-spinner also replied to her story and said, “Bhabhi yeah kya ho raha hai, yeah kya ho raha hai (Bhabhi, what is happening?).”
The incident, however, could not take away Rohit’s focus and he remained not out on 33 chasing down the 70-run target in 12.3 overs to lead his side to a victory.
Earlier, fast bowler Tushar Deshpande registered his maiden five-wicket haul in List A cricket as Bihar were bundled out for just 69 runs in 28.4 overs. Deshpande, making his sixth appearance for Mumbai was in red-hot form and reduced the opposition to 34 for four in his first spell, taking all four wickets.
In reply, Rohit and fellow opener Akhil Herwadker guided Mumbai to a comfortable 10-wicket victory.
