Gay partner killed AAP worker for making obscene videos, arrested
The Police have arrested two people and claimed to have solved the murder case of a 45-year-old man, who was found charred to death in his car in Sahibabad area. The deceased, Naveen Das, was in a homosexual relationship with one of the arrested man, Tayyab alias Aadi. The deceased was a Delhi based Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) worker.
The deceased had purported made obscene videos of Tayyab and threatened to make them public if he refuses to live with him. Later, Tayyab along with one brother Talib and a friend Samar Khan hatched a plan to rob and murder of Naveen Das.
Aadi along with his brother and friend, burnt the victim alive in his car, the police said. The accused also took away Das’s ATM card and withdrew Rs 7 lakh from the victim’s account.
“The police have arrested Aadi, his brother and a friend on Tuesday for killing Naveen Kumar Das,” SSP Vaibhav Krishna told PTI.
According to the report, Das and Aadi had been in a relationship for last two years, after meeting at a Gay party. Soon, they became friends and jointly started organising gay parties across Delhi. The victim had recently booked a flat and asked Aadi to live with him. When Aadi refused, Das threatened to make their relationship public.
“On the intervening night of October 4 and October 5, Aadi called Das to Loni town. He offered the victim drinks laced with sedatives,” the SSP quoted by PTI as saying.
The trio was arrested on Tuesday. The police have also seized Rs 4.85 lakh cash, an iPhone, passport, pan card, Aadhaar card and a scooter from their possession.
