Aamir Khan wants to be loss free if he signs any film, read more to know

Now a days Bollywood films touch at least 100 crore at box office within a week which has become the trend.  In these numbers a lot of times, superstars are accused of charging huge amount but Aamir Khan says he has a different module. For him, it all works on the percentage or share from the derived profit. If a film is a hit then he would be getting higher share and if a film is a flop then he gets nothing.

Recently, Aamir was at the Indian Screenwriters press conference where Anjum Rajabali interviewed him, he was quoted saying, “I think the script is the foundation. I ensure that once I love the story and the film is in the making, people who are investing money should not face loss. I don’t allow the producer to shoulder the responsibility alone.”

Senior actor Shabana Azmi who was in audience, questioned Aamir with the fact that there are actors in the industry who demand 80 per cent as the fees then how is it possible to make a successful film in 20 per cent. To which the actor responded saying, he doesn’t charge a single penny until the film has recovered it’s costs, producer’s profit and production cost.

He explained that how producers are also agreed to his point or the way of working because he risks his time until the film’s recovery. So eventually he was suggesting to not criticize his business module with higher percentage of profit.

That’s how Aamir makes sure that his films does not incur losses and even producers sign him repetitively for better projects.

He also elaborated his module with the example of his first venture, Lagaan back in year 2011. He said “Since that film was one of the expensive films of that time and was breaking a lot of rules of mainstream Indian cinema and that is why I felt the importance of taking the responsibility. When I come on board, producers and financiers do not question me on the subject I chose for a film because they trust me, they have faith in me. That is why I want to ensure the profit.”
