Know what politicians said on Supreme Court verdict on AAP vs LG
On Monday, 2nd June 2018, the Supreme Court made it clear that the lieutenant governor of Delhi can’t act independently of the state government, can’t be obstructionist toward what is an elected government and is not superior to the elected chief minister.
There are various reactions delivered through Twitter to this verdict by some of our politicians. Let’s see who has commented what on this matter:
1. Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief minister
A big victory for the people of Delhi…a big victory for democracy…
— Arvind Kejriwal (@ArvindKejriwal) July 4, 2018
2. Manish Sisodia is a member of the National Executive Committee of the Aam Aadmi Party. He has been the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi since February 2015.

3. Sheila Dikshit a member of the Indian National Congress and the longest serving Chief Minister of Delhi.
I think what SC has said is very clear. As per Article 239 (AA) of the Constitution, Delhi is not a state,it is a UT.If Delhi Govt&LG don’t work together then Delhi will face problems. 5. Vijender Gupta a Member of Legislative Assembly from Rohini constituency and also a member of BJP’s National Executive.
@BJP4India @BJP4Delhi 1/2— Vijender Gupta (@Gupta_vijender) July 4, 2018

8. Yogendra Yadav was a member of the National Executive of the Aam Aadmi Party until 2015.
This looks like a fair interpretation of SC verdict. SC has restored limited sovereignty of elected Govt in Delhi.
Hope this puts an end to obstructionism by LG and excuses by Delhi Govt.
