Bengal clinched their first victory of the season when they eked out a one-wicket win over Tamil Nadu in Chennai in the Ranji Trophy on Saturday.
With this win, Bengal now have 12 points and stand at the second place in the Group (B).
Bengal produced a decent effort with the ball to set for themselves a target of 216 to win their maiden match this season.
But their batting, much like the first innings, crumbled and a similar script was written by off-spinner Rahil Shah who ended up with another five-wicket haul. For the visitors, Pradipta Pramanik played out a dogged 25-run innings to help his side get over the line.
