1917 Trailer: Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch & Richard Madden in Sam Mendes War Drama

The first trailer of War drama ‘1917’ that is directed by Sam Mendes is out. The movie that features Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch & Richard Madden in pivotal roles is all about World War I. The two-minute trailer is quite similar to Dunkirk and the movie has all the ingredients to be a major award winner this year.

1917 is a race against time as the failure will bring catastrophic results. Based on the background of World War II it has two young British soldiers Schofield and Blake all set to cross enemy territory to deliver a message. This message will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers one of them being Blake’s brother.

The trailer brings alive the harshness and grittiness of the war. It also helps build the tempo as the two soldiers on a mission trying to race against time facing all odds.

The movie features Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Madden, George MacKay, Dean-Charles Chapman, Mark Strong, Andrew Scott and Claire Duburcq in pivotal roles.

The movie is not only directed by Sam Mendes but he has also co-written the screenplay with Krysty Wilson-Cairns.

‘1917’ is slated to release in the US on December 25, 2019, and in the UK on January 10, 2020.
