BJP president Amit Shah is an active member of 1,800 WhatsApp groups in Delhi. Each WhatsApp group will have contact number of Manoj Tiwari (Delhi BJP Chief) and Amit Shah. This exercise is done to provide direct information and curb fake news.
In an effort to intensify its upcoming 2019 election battle, BJP Delhi’s unit leaders are re-assessing teams up to Mandal-level and upgrading the party office workers on various social media platforms, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Tweeter.

Each WhatsApp group will have contact numbers of Amit Shah and Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, he said. In a meeting held last month, Amit Shah has reprimanded the party workers and leaders alike, to abstain from posting fake news and messages across any platform of the social media. He further added that that acts will only put the party image in bad light and taste, which could be detrimental in the upcoming election 2019.
Neelkant Bakshi said, ‘The WhatsApp groups formed by the Delhi’s BJP unit will ensure that the party’s directions and assignments are being undertaken sincerely by its office bearers and workers.’
In the upcoming months, BJP’s Delhi unit will hold social media meets at various levels to enlighten its members about the achievements of the BJP led government at the centre and also about PM Modi’s messages to its party workers.
The unit will also pay attention to reach out reach out to social media savvy young generation and take them under their tutelage in order to increase the base of the party.
